MAGNETOS FOR AERO ENGINES

Mr. Kirby, of the Watford Company, advises that they now have formal approval from the Air Board (copy attached) for their 12-Cylinder Magnetos, Type S.P.12-2 when fitted to Rolls-Royce F.XIV MS. Engines.

Provided we can conclude satisfactory financial and delivery arrangements with Messrs. North & Sons, is there any objection to our drawing small supplies of such Magnetos for use on our F.Type Engines, so as to have a second string to our bow and at the same time encourage an all-British firm?

According to the terms of our present Contract with the Air Board for F.Type Engines, it would appear we are not tied to any particular make, the Contract merely stipulating that Magnetos of an approved type shall be fitted.

I am expecting Mr. Kirby and Mr. Allen here on Tuesday, the 9th instant.
