Type Approval of S.F.12-Magneto on Rolls-Royce F XIV MS ENGINE

Gentlemen,

I am directed to refer to my letter of the 11th July, granting provisional type approval for the Watford A.F.12 and S.F. 12-2 magnetos. A satisfactory report has now been received on the type test of two S.F.12-2 magnetos when fitted to a Rolls Royce F XIV MS engine, which satisfactorily completed a 100-hour type test in accordance with the conditions laid down in A.P.840.

Airworthiness approval is, therefore, granted for the Watford S.F.12-2 magnetos when fitted to Rolls Royce F XIV MS engines, in accordance with Air Navigation Orders and Directions.

I am, Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant

(Signed) Andrew A.Ross
