1204 GEARBOXES. 7 modified Gearboxes were partly machined in the early days of the war, they were instructed for completion by February, 1941. At a meeting with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} in June 1941 these boxes were again urged and finally three were completely machine by Derby and assembled by Clan. The first box was fitted to a chassis on 23.1.43. B.80 ALUM ENGINE. At the Chassis meeting with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} on 25.6.41. it was agreed that HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} would complete the Alum Engine. Nothing has been done. PENDULUM LEVERS. Due to 3.B.50's Pendulum Lever having broken, the design was modified and the dies were sent to Derby Works for modification on the 6th January last, we have not yet received any forgings. MYTH ENGINE. In the meeting with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 25.6.41. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} pointed out that alternative Cylinder Head designs were complete, and a head should be produced. Although we received a casting from Derby this had not been proofed and upon so doing it was found faulty. It has been returned to Derby for pattern modifications, and we are still awaiting a correct casting. | ||
