Dear Sirs, When I was at your works with Mr. Simpson he mentioned that you would probably like to do some steel casting work for us. We have now tested various parts in cast steel and are considering the Production supplies. If you would like to do some work for us we should like to know the approximate cost per lbs. of straightforward castings. We realize that it is impossible to give a single figure so would like approximate figures for each end of the scale. We are sorry that the previous aero part which we consulted you about came to nothing, but after further consideration we thought it would be a very difficult casting.
