Bailey - Chief Engineer} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} X312 H Smith E.2/HP.20.8.36. Phantom III Clutches. As the present clutch position is not very satisfactory, and it is found that with the Borg and Beck plates at present on production, it is necessary to start doping after running a few hundred miles, it was proposed at Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}'s suggestion to change over as soon as possible on production to the Rolls-Royce centre plate G.82601 with segmental fabrics G.82602 made in Ferodo No.6. The R.R. centre plate is the best we know of at the moment until the Long centre plate that we have made over here is tried out. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
