x.995 RE EXTENSION OF INSTRUCTION BOOK DEALING WITH THE ELECTRIC INSTALLATION ON THE CAR. x.664

With reference to the above, I think the chassis numbers to which the book applies should be given on the front page, as in present instruction book, and further, I think that a column of concise instructions should be added in such a way that it can easily be found.
These instructions might be printed in heavy lettering so that they would not escape notice; they should read as follows :-

X.8129 "Do not leave the battery uncharged because it will rapidly deteriorate, but if run down, get it well re-charged, even if it is necessary to remove it from the car."

"Be careful not to leave any switch "on", especially the ignition switch".

X.576 "Do not let the dynamo belt get so slack that very little charge is obtained".

"Do not tighten the belt so as to destroy the bearings of the dynamo".

X.2575 "In case of failure of ignition or light, examine fuses " etc.

Add any further points that you think it desirable to incorporate in this column.

Referring to page 14, I think the second sentence of the paragraph on "Battery Ignition" should read as follows :-

Contd.
