X.329 "The function of the resistance is to limit the current taken by the coil at slow speeds, or if the ignition switch should be accidentally left "on" when the engine is stopped".

Part of the original wording has been cancelled to make the reading less confusing.

In all cases the illustrations should be opposite the reading matter to which they refer, and the illustrations themselves should be larger, simpler, and more sub-divided.

Referring to page 17 - notes on dynamo brushes, and page 20 - notes on motor brushes, I would like these re-written, as I think that starter brushes should last a life-time, and dynamo brushes should run for hundreds of hours, but must be replaced occasionally; if replaced during overhaul, should run at least 10,000 miles.

Referring to "Care of Battery" page 23, I would like the note "Never allow the temperature of electrolyte to exceed 100°F on charge" cancelled, and replaced by "The maximum charging current is 12 amperes".

The remark "Do not excessively overcharge" should have added to it, "either in quantity or time".

The sentence "do not allow the battery to stand with a cell in this condition" should be underlined.

The remark respecting the level of the acid should read, "Keep it ¼" above plates by the addition of pure distilled water only", the word "to" having been cancelled.
