Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth. 26/JH. 10th June, 1936. Messrs. Borg & Beck Co.Ltd., Tachbrook Road, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. For the attention of Mr. Barker. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letters of yesterday's date. With regard to the 13" plate, we note that you regard the "No.6" facings as being softer than earlier consignments and have taken the matter up with Ferodo. They, however, deny this is so and we trust you will take immediate steps to get to the bottom of the matter. With regard to the six plates received today, whilst we are taking immediate steps to build these up, we do not wish you to delay further deliveries in any way pending a report from us. Is it not possible that the difficulty you are experiencing in keeping the facings flat is due in some way to the modified slotting of the centre plate? We thank you for the promise of despatch of an American "Hyco" facing. We shall be glad to see you and Mr. Armitage on Friday. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
