P.III. OUTPUT.

As you are aware in accordance with the output chart we should complete and send to the Test Dept. this week-end 10 chassis, bringing us up to 44 on 'A'.

We shall be unable to do this due to the fact we are completely held up for the clutches from the Borg and Beck Co. Leamington Spa. Actually at the moment we have only enough clutches to enable us to complete up to the 33rd chassis on 'A' Series.

We have been urging the O.O. and 6 clutches were received this morning, but we understand these have the thicker friction linings. They cannot be used meantime due to the fact that the following have to be obtained.-

G84703 Packing Ring, which the O.O. hope will be despatched from their suppliers to-night.

G84708 Bolt, instructed by the D.O. to-day as per their memo. BY/TWD{T. W. D???Aeith}1/E10.6.36. which we have to manufacture.

Further, when the packing rings and bolts are available it is desired that the 6 clutches in question shall be at once tried by the Test Dept. to see if they are satisfactory, and then from this point the Borg and Beck Co. can be advised as to whether they can go ahead.

From the above facts you will appreciate the position is very serious and unsatisfactory as far as we are concerned, and it would seem, at this moment, that we shall only be able to book in three chassis for week-ending June 13th.
