Dear Mr. Johnson,

Re Modern "Buick"'s Clutch.

I have been driving in short trips a modern six cylinders "Buick" car, which is a really good car all the whole, but the most striking feature is the clutch.

It is simply astonishing the working of this part, with a softness which I never have found in any other car and without the lightest sensation of sliding under any conditions.

My experiences with this car, have being in short periods, so I am not able to fully inform of its advantages, but I have also driven a "Buick-Abadal" car which is the original "Buick" with some improvements introduced here in Spain by Mr. Abadal, the manufacturer of the old "Abadel" car and our customer now.

The improvements introduced in this car, are of not so great importance, but the smoothness in the working of the clutch is kept, and it is simply wonderful as well as agreeable, to hold a car which has recently broke records, and is able to do 150 kilometers per hour, going on at walking pace, simply by the action of the clutch.

I am enclosing a cutting of the "Buick" catalogue, showing the working parts of the clutch and I believe Mr. Royce would be most interested to drive such a car with this accessory and certainly if our after-the-war model could embody an adaption duly improved, by Mr. Royce our claims for the best production would be right and unapproachables.

I shall be pleased to report you any further information regarding any improvement, and remain,

Yours most sincerely,

(sgd) C. de Salamanca.
