(On the basis that the alterations which we may make to shutter angles etc. will not affect the price of the article.) 4. Bentley radiator complete to your design. 5. Ph.III. matrix with bottom tank dip-soldered on by yourselves. We are arranging to commence tests on the Phantom III. matrix with bottom tank dip-soldered on by yourselves almost immediately - we should like your opinion as to whether you would be prepared to attach the top tank as well - this would have to be dipped on the front face and then hand soldered at the sides and rear face. If you consider this economically worth while, we should like your quotation for building the complete Phantom III. matrix unit - top and bottom tanks and matrix - the tanks being supplied by us ready for assembling. (LeC.4504 attached shows matrix unit complete) The writer would mention that the Phantom III. lightened construction matrix which was returned to you for alteration, does not appear to have arrived yet. Would you please confirm that it has been despatched.? We are relying on you to expedite the manufacture of the two Mk.Vl. {V. Lewis / Mr Valentine} matrices (52 and 58 MM.) which you are making for us, so that the necessary tests on the dummy shutter assembly can be completed as soon as possible.
