X.3748 X.3716. BAKELITE INSULATIONS FOR 40/50
MAIN SWITCH, ACTUATOR BOX AND
BALLAST RESISTANCE.

We have examined the sample of each of the above pieces built up with Bakelite Insulations and agree with changes as follows:-

BALLAST RESISTANCE. - We do not think it advisable to change the material on this unit and would prefer to continue with Mica and Micanite.

ACTUATOR BOX AND MAIN SWITCH. - We agree to change the insulations on these units with the exception of these two bushes - G.4287 - Actuator Box and E.12970 - Main Switch. These bushes are only .005 thick and therefore too thin to obtain in Bakelite, so would continue with Manilla Paper.

These alterations will be brought into standard as soon as possible.
