large number of turns of fine gauge wire whereas a lesser number of turns of a coarser gauge would be better. There was observed a slight difference in the contact breaker timing between the two magnetos, and the effect of this could be discerned in the subsequent testing of the electrical performance, the magneto (N098033) with a larger make-ratio and timed earlier giving a better low speed performance whilst not losing much at high speeds i.e. the high speed performance still being good.

The weight of these magnetos complete with screen is approx the same as the latest lightened type
