Attached please find copy of Notes regarding the Packard (Splitdorf) single machine double spark magneto, as mentioned in his letter to Col. L.F.R. Fell, dated 30th Sept. last. (Three copies are addressed to RG.{Mr Rowledge} so that he may, if he thinks desirable, pass a copy each on to Messrs. Watford Magneto Co. and Col. Fell.

I suspect that the system is not quite accurately described in the article referred to in the notes, as I have not been able to see in what way the impedance included in the switch to ground conductor will, as they state, eliminate the inductive effect between the two primary windings.
