1263. (also in 110) W/K.{Mr Kilner} KC. from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}1/R.14.4.37. PETROL PUMPS. With regard to four pumps recently returned from Kingsbury to S.U's for the following faults:- (1) Noise. (2) N.S. Unit not working. (3) Leaking from Vent. (4) Leaking through solenoid. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Dixon investigated these and reported;- (1) Agreed. (2) A piece of wood wool was found underneath the valve. (3) Agreed. (4) Agreed. S.U. have queried the pumps sent back from Kingsbury as having been interfered with. They state erection bolts are being taken out, which means the dismantling of the unit. Is this the case, and if so, can it be prevented ? BENTLEY DRIVING DOG KNOCK. In my investigation it was noticed that the knock was most prevalent with the B-DG series with the introduction of Dunlop road wheels. Would it be possible to get hold of one of these hubs of this series when another complaint comes in and let Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls} have it ? We have examined several from the Repair Dept., but these have been in an excellent condition. What can you do for us ? Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} | ||
