We do not think that the Rolls-Bentley has ever received the publicity it deserves for it's achievements in the Tourist Trophy Races.

Attached are a number of letters which, if appearing at intervals in the correspondence columns of the Autocar, would counteract to some extent the steady flow of propaganda which has recently been put out by the 3-litre Bentley supporters.

Alternatively, we could serve the matter up to Geoffrey Smith and get him to write an article describing Mr. Hall's car in detail and some of it's exploits. He would obviously not be able to draw quite such direct comparisons between the performance of this car and the performance of the Bentley in it's pre-Rolls Royce days.

Actually, unless you disagree, I think that the best thing would be to get a number of my friends to send these letters to the Autocar in the correct chronological order.

Some of them might not be published, but so far I have had no difficulty in getting interesting letters reproduced.

In any event, at the conclusion of the correspondence, Geoffrey Smith might put in a photograph and a few more details about the car.

Perhaps you would let me know what you think about the proposal.
