X2200. Expl. Dept. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/MJ. Col. The Master of Sempill, A.F.C., A.F.R.Ae.S., Associated Transmissions, Ltd., 40 Grosvenor Gardens, LONDON. S.W.1. My dear Sempill, I regret not having replied to your letter before but I have been away. I think, at the moment, it would not be much use Mr. Duff calling to see us. You realize that we are very conservative in taking up new ideas. At the present time the position is, we are trying out one or two schemes of our own and until we have thoroughly tested these out we should not consider any other scheme. It would be useless for me to encourage you in thinking that we were likely to be interested. If Mr. Duff iscoming to Derby we will be very pleased to see him, but I do not want to hold out any hopes of business. Yours sincerely, | ||
