See me B.4. Steering Joint Gaiters. HS {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} As an alternative to the leather gaiters now used, it is proposed that we should use metal shields. A form of these, suitable for the side and cross steering tubes of B.4. is shown on N. Sch. 3845 and 3848 herewith. N. Sch. 3845 is dependent on the present small spring movement on the side steering tube rear joint being continued. If this movement is much increased it will be necessary to make some modifications.
