Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /GWH. {George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} 4/KT.26.1.33. Re. ALUMINIUM COVERS FOR ANCHORAGE OF ROAD SPRINGS. We deleted the aluminium covers at the rear of the front spring, and the front of the rear spring anchorages, during our recent 12,000 miles test on Peregrine II in France. The examination of the anchorage after the mileage did not show any more depreciation of the wearing parts, due to them being left exposed. We are, therefore, of the opinion that the aluminium covers could be dispensed with, the leather gaiter being made to fit right up to the end of the spring. This applies to Phantom, 25 HP. and Peregrine. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /GWH. {George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} | ||
