C. to EFC. Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}12/EW19.12.27. The following is a copy of a note from EPC. in connection with the large number of Coils we are replacing on both the 20HP. and the 40/50HP. chassis - "We want to get more definite information of "customers' complaints on the electrical system. "For instance, I have just received round about "information that we are having complaints of "ignition coil failures. Of this I was not aware "until this moment. "We understand that customers' complaints are "received by you before passing on to those "concerned. I wish it could be arranged that "we should receive, say monthly, more information "of a technical nature about complaints. "It is no use our just having information that "there has been a complaint of such and such a "unit on such and such a car - what we are more "particularly concerned with is the nature of the "complaint, and what is being done generally to "satisfy customers generally, i.e. not in particular." We find that in the past 3 months, Cricklewood have been supplied with 48 Coils and Paris 18. Here we are not using anything like this quantity of coils, and we shall be glad of some information which would enable us to judge what is the correct position in regard to these Coils. We notice from the Free of Charge Work returns, that no Coils have been supplied during the last quarter, so that on the surface it looks as if customers are paying for Coils, and yet we can hardly think that this is correct. We should very much appreciate any information you can give us to enable us to find out a reason for such a large number of Coils having to be supplied. Hm.{Capt. W.
