3th. August 1920.

Messrs. The Dunlop Co.Ltd.,
Aston Cross,
Birmingham.

DearsSirs,
X.4050 For the attention of Mr. Walter Bond.

Herewith is a report of the mileage of tyres.

We propose sending this car over to Birmingham tomorrow 4th.inst. for you to inspect the tyres.

We should like to suggest that you let us have another pair of tyres to fit to the same car and that you agree to us running with lower pressure in the tyres. We believe that the reason the treads have worn out so rapidly on the tyres we have been running has been due to the fact that the wheels have been bouncing off the road and that a tremendous amount of slipping has been taking place. From our own tests we know that we get the axle and wheels to follow the road better if we do not have the tyres too hard.

The tyres of other makes we are running and which we have got very much better mileage from than those that you supplied to us, have had 65 to 70 lbs. pressure.

Yours faithfully,
