Dear Sirs,

Re. Watford Revolution Indicator.

We beg to refer you to the combined revolution indicator and clock which we are now testing in connection with the Bentley chassis.

This instrument was returned to you under replacement order R.3869 for the calibration at 4500 r.p.m. to be 2% fast. We have now received this instrument and regret to state that far from being 2% fast, it is actually 1% slower than when it was returned.

This is very annoying, and in view of the urgency of the chassis to which this instrument was required, we have been forced to fit it actually reading slow.

We hope you will look into this matter for us as owing to a critical crankshaft period on the Bentley chassis the accuracy of the revolution counter is of paramount importance.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
