TOOLS UNDER BONNET.
--------

You will remember that we have fitted the tools under the bonnet on the Streamline Bentley on the lines of the Derby scheme. We would be glad now if Derby would tell us whether the tools in the position in which they are placed, become too hot. We believe Derby are modifying their scheme as the result of our experience of working to it and we would be glad to see a print of this scheme as soon as possible.

With respect to the Rolls-Royce car, it was agreed at yesterday morning's Meeting of the C.S.C. to fit up a Trials car - 40/50- with the tools in the position indicated on the Derby scheme, with a view to discovering whether in the position in which they are shewn, they become too hot. If the test is satisfactory, we understand that it has been agreed to standardise the scheme. on the Phantom and it will also be agreed to standardise a similar scheme on the 20/25 HP. car if the test is satisfactory and the cost is no more than that quoted by Derby for the 40/50.
