RECEIVED 1931 MAR 26 S/W...from Bt. {Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer} (Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} ). X44-6 Bt {Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer} 14/GD26.3.31. I should be very much obliged if you could give me any information regarding the type of Hartford shock absorber which can be controlled from the driver's seat. I was anxious to try this, and have it fitted on my car, 118-MC, before I go abroad this year, as I usually carry a good deal of luggage, and naturally push along on the suitable roads. It seems very important to know whether in the event of the control breaking there is any possible means for seating the shock absorber with say a spanner, as the existing Hartford is adjusted. I should not like to have to face a tour abroad with shock absorbers out of action. Do you think it would be reasonable and possible to get a set of these special shock absorbers at a special figure.
