R.R. 235a (500 T) (S.D. 408. 26-4-17.) Bm. 2/156/13. ORIGINAL To HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} R1/M26.8.22. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 29 AUG 1922 RECEIVED TOOL EQUIPMENT FOR GOSHAWKS, ETC. X4083 Naturally these should be as light as possible : nothing unnecessary, and all of good quality, well finished. The electricians pliers might be a size smaller. The box keys should have a fairly large hole for a good big tommy bar - these have been too small in the past. The open ended spanners - the 2 smallest sizes - should be single ended, short and suitable for an extension tube. Special spanners and tools for Goshawks should have the chassis name stamped upon them. The tool bag should be like a little brief bag, or like that on No.4. Goshawk 11, with continuous fasteners. The small file for ignition should be in a little wooden box with tiny spanner and feeler. The tool equipment should be examined and criti-cised, and after correction should be sent to me for appro-val. All tools should be stamped with the RR. trade mark so that they are known to belong to a RR. car. Let this part receive wise thought;it will pay to do it right once and then leave it alone. There is to be a very convenient ignition plug. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} AUG 26. 1922 RECEIVED R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
