TO DY.{F R Danby} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to CJr c. to WOR{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}✓ DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M39/8.22. RE. 40/50 CHASSIS. X143 [STAMP: RECEIVED] 1122 1318 We send herewith M.sch./shewing the Goshawk 11. Klaxon switch adapted to the 40/50 control quadrant on the steering column. Mr. Royce would like this fitted to 6.EX. as proposed by Mr. Hives. It will be seen that the modification simply consists in a new carburation control quadrant and a slightly different position for the pillar on the main quadrant. At the lower end we suggest that the lever should be bell mouthed to afford an easy passage for the wire, and that the terminal box designed for Goshawk 11. and carried off the frame should be used in this case also. We understand that the carburation control tube on the 40/50 has the same diameter as the smallest control tube on the Goshawk. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
