A.R. Smith, Esq.,
Messrs. Ford Motor Co.,Ltd.,
Dagenham,
ESSEX.

Dear Mr. Smith,

Mr. R.{Sir Henry Royce} Royce who went over to the United States with me to study Factory Management, would very much like to come down to ask you one or two questions relating to the difference in procedure between American and English Factories with regard to production methods.

We always come up against the difficulty when we come back to England that the factories operate under entirely different conditions.

The Ford Co. appears to be one of the few organisations in the world where exactly the same product, i.e. V.8., is made both in England and America.

I am afraid we have caused you a lot of bother lately, but feel sure you will tell us as soon as we become a nuisance. As you know, we should be only too glad at any time to assist you over any problem where we may have experience which would be useful.

Yours sincerely,
