To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. c. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} 8 600A 26.G.VI - RADIATOR MATRIX UNIT. It is obviously not going to be possible to get the radiator bottom tank and outlet referred to in Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.3/MH.{M. Huckerby}12.1.38 on 26.G.VI car before it goes away. Further, the special filler scheme requested will also not be ready in time. We wish you, therefore, to build up a matrix unit consisting of - (1) matrix, (2) revised bottom tank, mounting and outlet pipe, (3) top tank with special filler scheme and B.III top baffle (as requested in Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.6/MH.{M. Huckerby}12.1.38) and forward this as soon as possible to France to be fitted to 26.G.VI while it is there. Will you, therefore, please urge the completion of the special filler so as to minimise thedelay before this matrix unit is running. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. | ||
