Re Spring on Footpedal - D.R.B. X2

Na{Mr Nadin}23/B29913.

Attached herewith is a copy of a note from Mr Bailey with reference to a spring which pulls off the foot-brake on cars fitted with double rear brakes. There is apparently some difference of opinion between Mr Platford and Mr Bailey as to whether this spring should be fitted or not.

Mr Platford says the experimental department agree with him that Mr Royce does not desire this spring. Mr Bailey says it was to Mr Royce's instructions that it was placed on the drawing, and I therefore think if the experimental dept. do not agree with this spring they should report to Mr Royce, stating the grounds of their disagreement.

If they have not already done this will they kindly do so.
