| To Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 8267 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/KT.16.11.33: STREAMLINED BENTLEY - B-23-AE. With reference to your letter to Park Wards of the 14th inst. re. the streamlined Bentley, we have noted the following points which are not mentioned in your letter: (1) Both front wings foul the valances. (2) The front portions of the bonnet, on both sides, are cutting through the valances. (3) There is no beading between the rear wings and the body. Perhaps you do not wish to have any fitted, but it looks rather unfinished at the moment. (4) There is a recess full of dirt and small tar stones round the petrol tank filler pipe and N.S.R. wing. (5) The lever for operating the scuttle ventilation is in a bad position and traps ones fingers. (6) The centre mirror is bad for rear view. (7) The direction indicator switch handle is loose. (8) The paint in the letter 'B' on the hub nuts is hammered out when fitting or removing wheels. (9) At the back of the body the rear bottom line seems unnecessarily high. When following the car, one can see the whole of the under part of the chassis. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
