X4264 I have not received any report as to whether the steering box was broken through being cramped on to a tube which was too large, and whether it is strong enough to bear such stresses as may come on it from the twisting of the frame. You will remember that I suggested that the tube running up to the steering wheel should be tested to see whether this was strong enough, or stiff enough, to harm the box should the frame be twisted about on a very rough road. I think we should find that the tube broke first, therefore proving that the box was strong enough in aluminium.
