ANGLO-AMERICAN OIL CO. LTD.,

Westminster.
LONDON, S.W.(1).

Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
Derby.

21st August 1935.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. Wood.

Further to your letter of the 19th inst., reference Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}6/GB., advising us of the receipt of 506 gallons of 100 Octane fuel, we have pleasure in attaching the specification of this fuel.

The Octane Number is 100, as near as can be determined, although a variation of an Octane Number or so is unavoidable between different determinations, owing to experimental difficulties in measuring Octane Numbers in this range. There is a slight difference between the Octane Numbers by the Motor method and the Air Ministry (Modified) method.

The price of this fuel will be 5/- per gallon.

Yours faithfully,

(sgd). H.C.Tett.
Manager,
TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT.
