ET/MED. c. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X52410 BY10/G.20.3.29. 20 HP. SPRINGING. It has been agreed in consultation with the Experimental Department that from now onwards we should fit the same strength of springs for Continental conditions and Australia, as for English conditions. Our reason for this proposal is that complaints from abroad have recently been that we are too heavily sprung, whereas some two or three years ago on the other hand they were telling us that we were much too lightly sprung, and were demanding very heavy springs. This phase seems to have passed, and we therefore propose to carry on with English condition springs all round. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Py | ||
