Trial report on a cracked Cradle at the Recoil Bridge, proposing alterations to the compression ratio.

At the conclusion of the trial, the Cradle was found to be cracked at the Recoil Bridge, probably due to the Recoil Gear hitting back on this part at 80° elevation when filled with the low pressure required to cope with 80° depression. It is hoped by altering the compression ratio to determine an air pressure which will cope with extremes of 80° depression and 80° elevation without over-recoiling under the latter conditions.
