B.19
Following C.17 this unit which is now in test house to be fitted on bed for endurance.

New parts include, new std. crankcase, main bearings in die cast A.C.6., big end bearings in AC.6. new aerolite pistons with special grinding and new rockers running direct on coppered shaft. Hardened marked A.{Mr Adams} Soft marked B.

Following running in during which time oiling from rockers to be observed in comparison with standard, start endurance.

Alternate 10 hours of full throttle and ¼ load running at an inlet oil temperature of 100°C. and press. of 30 lbs. sq.in.

Check oil pump for noise starting cold.

B.24.
Unit with T.T. type low compression head and block to suit LeC.5367.

Power curves and necessary tests comparing this head and induction system with std.

Other tests should include checking exhaust valve temp. with each head. Check valve bounce on T.T. head. Unit to be run with a view to going 15,000 miles test on 6.B.1V.

No.2.Bed

B.18
This unit has Cadmium Nickel Main bearings having previously run 20 hours endurance.

In conjunction with exhaust valve temperature tests bearings to be run at 100°C. oil inlet temperature at pressure of 30 lbs. - 35 lbs./sq.in.
