Requesting modifications to a Bentley (High Power) cylinder head pattern to reduce the compression ratio.

Bentley (High Power).

Will you please have 2 castings taken off the existing pattern Ex.22594 cylinder head. The casting around the exhaust seats to be chilled to raise the Brinell figure with a view to reducing the amount of pocketing.

Following the above, the pattern to be altered to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}161, which is to reduce the compression ratio to 6.5 : 1 for trial on a standard unit. 2 castings to be taken off the pattern thus altered.
