IN YOUR REPLY PLEASE REFER TO K.L.G/KS DEPT AND QUOTE REFERENCE. S.D. 5th November 1919. Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Limited, Nightingale Road, DERBY. [STAMP: 16 NOV 1919] For the attention of Mr. Hives. [STAMP: REC..D] Dear Sirs, We are to-day sending you one dozen more No: 106 Experimental Plugs fitted with three points. As pointed out on the telephone these plugs should not soot up anything like as easily as the standard R4 plugs - the insulating surface being very much longer, and as the gas is able to get up considerably further into the plug, the insulation will get hotter. We shall be interested to hear the results of your tests with the 106 plugs, and hope to be in a position to submit a further type for test in the near future. As arranged on the telephone, Mr. Guinness will be very pleased to come up to discuss the whole question with you directly you have formed an opinion on the 106 plug or before, if you desire it. We are, Yours faithfully, KS p.p. THE ROBINHOOD ENGINEERING WORKS LTD., | ||
