X1775 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}15/KT. June 14th 1933. Stewart Burt Esq., Hotel Splendide Royal & Excelsior, Aix-Les-Bains, France. Dear Bt.{Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer}, Very many thanks for your telegram and letter. It is very good of you to have taken so much trouble. I am afraid that my letter was not very clear because I meant to refer to the motor T.T. races which take place next month on the dates mentioned. I will write to your brother as you suggest, and it will be very kind of him if he will give us the information that we require. Possibly you will be back before the dates of the races. We had an Essex Terraplane on the track a few days ago, and while it has remarkable 'pick-up' it is quite the most dangerous car I have ever driven. Coming off the banking we got into a dry broadside skid which must have been much more amusing to watch than to rectify. Anyhow I hope they do not sell many of them to the English public until they are improved. We hope to get Feddon's Alfa Romeo for a couple of days next week which should be good fun as it is the latest type which failed us on our last meeting. Thanking you again for the trouble you have taken, Kind regards, Yours sincerely, | ||
