(5) E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}1/HP.31.5.35. Starting Handle. Hold up this section pending receipt of final designs in connection with the improved appearance of the front end of the car. Undershields. A design is required for this and will be completed in cooperation with the Experimental Department. 'F' SECTION. Frame and Fittings. Proceed with 8 sets of frame parts, as SpectreCodename for Phantom III 3, but hold up on body mounting brackets until further instructions are issued. It was decided to apply the SpectreCodename for Phantom III 4 type of body mounting to SpectreCodename for Phantom III 3 type of chassis construction. A revised design of front anchorage for the rear springs is in hand, and this section item should, therefore, be held up. Wing Stays. Wing stays should be held up pending the issue of final designs of the modified radiator with shutters. Front Apron. To be as on SpectreCodename for Phantom III 3. Design required. Rear Springs and Fittings. 7" deflection rear springs are to be used. The springs will be modified because of the altered front anchorage brackets, and should not, therefore, be instructed at present. Particulars of the weights of the bodies which will be fitted to these 8 chassis are required in order to enable the correct strength of springs to be ordered. Steering Column and Box. To be of the latest RR. Marles type. The worms will have to be supplied by the Adamant Engineering Co. The steering column controls and steering wheels to be held up pending a Sales decision on the appearance. Alternative designs are in hand. | ||
