BY/Cgh.{W Clough}7/G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 30.11.31. RE LONGER BONNETS FOR 25 HP. CHASSIS. --------------------------------------- With reference to EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/28.11.31. we send you herewith print of N.Sch. 3381 referred to in connection with the above, from which it will be seen that WW. appear to have made the dash about 2" wider than the present standard, whereas you suggested about 1". As stated in our previous memo, our view was that the dash should be 2" wider in order to make any appreciable reduction in the amount of the bulge in the scuttle, and apparently WW. agree, but before proceeding we would like to know which figure you agree to, also if we are to fit a rivetless type bonnet, and one with dropped sides as shown on the N.Sch. On receipt of this information we will put a special dash and bonnet in hand for one of the stock cars, but we do not propose to instruct the modification for production until approval of the new scheme has been given.
