300 γ To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Smth. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Smth.12/AP.27.1.37. 38-EX. This car is to be handed over to Sales on Saturday, and the clutch is not good enough. It is the experimental clutch with wide friction facings. We are sending the c ar into the Shop; will you please dismantle the clutch and re-fit a standard one, except that the driven plate should have VM.20 facings and .040" cushioning. If you have them we should also like Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}31. thrust springs and G.85078 fingers; otherwise standard ones will do. A new flywheel will have to be fitted.
