(3) Strengthened 2nd speed dogs to PL.373 are in hand.

(4) Strengthened 3rd speed dogs to FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}495 are fitted to the boxes as instructed.

(5) Will Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} note that the 2nd speed anti-rattle device is not to be fitted. The hole in the 3rd Motion Shaft having been drilled, these shafts may be used, but the following parts should not be fitted :-

GB.5375 Spring. 1 Off per set.
.1875 die. steel balls. 1 " " "

(6) These pieces have been produced and this item will be taken in hand on future gearboxes. The Layshaft for the seven boxes are instructed on Timken bearings as for 2-R-2 chassis.
