Worm axle report (Cont.)

All tests taken with Prices B Motorine. oil "Orlday".
Air temperature 7° C.
" " 10° C dynamometer

Worm axle
Run at 1500 revs. for short time
Power 39 HP.
with bevel 43 HP.
no other power tests taken.

Old worm axle got more noisy on retard after running - still good forward - no better than when first made.
Worm wheel showing signs of wearing + cross wound.
Gear 3.6 to 1. should be considered.
I consider too low for all practical purposes.
