( I2 ) down badly. They are not satisfactory. ELECTRIC PETROL PUMP. New 25/30 HP. Type. S.U. Petrol Pump with rubber mounting fitted, supplied by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/J.B.Dixon. The pump was quiet and remained effective in action throughout the mileage. K.L.G. SPARKING PLUGS. TYPE. E.27. The useful life of these plugs was 12,000 miles at which mileage the electrodes were burnt dangerously thin. The gaps were re-set once during this time, otherwise they received no attention and gave no trouble. TYRES & ROAD WHEELS. The car was run throughout with 6.00" tyres on 17" wheels. They were preferred to the standard 5.50 x 18" tyres, the car was steadier on corners and the steering more "dead-beat" in action, front wheel movements and road in-equalities being felt less in the steering wheel. Comparing this car with 3.B.IV. with standard tyres, the increase in tyre mileage with the 6.00" tyres was 100% at the front, and 50% at the rear. --------------- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH{George W.
