For the attention of Mr.West.

Dear Sirs,

We are despatching to you under separate cover, 6 Voltage Regulator Units, our type LR{Mr Ellor}7, three of these are Thermostatic controlled Regulators, and three are insensitive., Regulators. In all cases the Regulators have been mounted on to our RF50 Control Box.

The Thermostatic Regulators are fitted with 38 ohm. Field Parallel resistances, and 63ohm. points resistance, this value of points resistance being chosen to prevent "running away" of the dynamo, at speeds below 6750 r.p.m.

The regulators have been set with a C45PV two-pole Dynamo at 1500 R.P.M.

With regard to the three "Insensitive" Regulators that is, by the choice of suitable spring and magnetic characteristics, and the use of a bucking winding connected across the field of the dynamo, the change of voltage setting due to contact wear, has been rendered small in the order of 0.1-0.25 Volt/ thousandth, also here again a field parallel resistance of 38ohms, and a point resistance of 63 ohms is incorporated.

On the attached sheet, we give Technical Details of these Regulators, that is the connections of the control box, and the open circuit voltages, settings at 1500 R.P.M. etc. for your guidance.
