Braking leverage figures for the 'U' series 20/25 chassis.

| X 5360. Files. 26.8.32. 20/25 BRAKING LEVERAGES. Attached are figures for the relative braking effort front to rear on the 'U' series 20/25 chassis with synchromesh gear box. It was found by experiment that the ratio of the output to the input for the servo was 1.0. This gives a torque multiplication of 1.55, from which we find that we have 39% of the braking on the front wheels. This brake layout to GL.{G. Linnett}601 replaces that shown in Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG.20.5.25. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Grylls. 3 prints. | ||
