572 Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/NRC.{N. R. Chandler} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/NRC.{N. R. Chandler}3/AP.6.12.37. RE. CLUTCH 25/30.HP. A Standardisation Sheet for the use of Thermoid facings instead of Rabestos is at present in course of circulation. We are anxious to get the Thermoid faced plates on Production for the 25/30 (as with Bentley) as soon as possible, because each car turned out with Thermoid facings means one less potential future complaint. There are in stock at present 103 driven plates fitted with Rabestos, and Borg & Beck can remove this facing and replace it by Thermoid in a few days at a cost of 6/6 each, and subject to your approval we would like to send, say, 80 of these plates to be altered at once.
