Sir tried the Bently yesterday against a 2 seater V8 Ford and both the top gear acceleration and also through the gears. The Bently pulled away all the time so that at the end of 1/2 a mile the Ford was at least 200 yds behind. He also tried it against a Bently B.S.E.J. belonging to E.M. berceo which has a 7 to 1 cyl head and a total weight of 30cwt. On top gear he got away easily but on the gears there was not so much in it and tho' an all out try could just not overtake him.
