[Handwritten: 4] RE FITTING PRIMERS TO EXISTING 40/50 H.P. CHASSIS. It has been suggested by Mr. Hives that perhaps we are not taking full advantage of the improved ease of starting the existing 40/50 H.P. cars by fitting them with a primer. This would avoid the necessity in many cases, of fitting an electric starter, which is so very difficult until we have found or made a design of starter [Handwritten below: (electrical)] which can be fitted to the earlier cars. [Handwritten: Forward action] This matter is now having attention at the Works, and I hope soon to receive the preliminary drawings. R.{Sir Henry Royce} [Stamp: RECEIVED 28 JUL 1919] | ||
