Copy of Letter. .................. From: ARTHUR BATES & CO.LTD. 31, Dutton Street MANCHESTER. RJB/DC ROY {Sir Henry Royce} 6/MG28.2.23 March 1st.1923 Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd. Nightingale Road, D E R B Y Gentlemen:- We beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of yesterday's date respecting Aglomerate Cork Washers with a layer of canvas between, and for your inspection we send you herewith two samples to shew you what we could supply quickly. That marked "A" is the best we could do to build up the thickness that you require; that marked "B" is slightly thinner and might suit your purpose. Will you, therefore, test both "A" and "B" and see which you would require. "A" could be supplied at 4 1/2d each; "B" at 3d each, and we could give you probably 250 of each within 2 days. If these will suit you and you decide to order will you kindly return to us the one that you do not require; we will therefore be able to discriminate between the 2 qualities. Awaiting your further news with interest. We remain, Yours faithfully, ARTHUR BATES & CO.LTD. Director. | ||
